When: Typically the last weekend in January

Where:

The Pinewood Derby is a racing event, held in late January. Cub Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from the official BSA car kit provided by the Pack. It is intended to be a Father/Son or Mother/Son activity. The goal is for the boy to build as much of the car as possible, with a guiding hand from the parent. We don't want 8 year old boys racing against professionally built cars by 40 year old Engineers. If this year is your first experience with Cub Scouts, be forewarned, the Pinwood Derby is MUCH more competitive than the Raingutter Reggata.

In an attempt to keep a level playing field, due to circumstances in the past, the Pack has a specific set of rules that you must adhere to when building and racing your car.

Here are the latest set of Official Pack 615 Rules (version 3).
